This privacy policy explains which personal data I process when you use Creatimon Evolve, for what purposes, and what rights you have. Creatimon does not use any analytics or tracking tools and shows no advertising.

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). The application runs in a data centre in Ireland (Dublin region). When you access the pages, Vercel processes technically necessary data in server log files, in particular your IP address, date and time of access, the requested address, browser type and operating system. This data is used to deliver the website and to keep it secure and stable, and is stored only briefly.
The legal basis is my legitimate interest in providing the platform securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place with Vercel. More information: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
User accounts, game data and uploaded profile pictures are stored with Supabase Inc. (USA). The database is located in a data centre in Ireland (AWS region eu-west-1). A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place with Supabase. More information: supabase.com/privacy.
Vercel and Supabase are based in the USA. Even though the data is stored in Ireland, access from the USA cannot be ruled out. Transfers are based on the European Commission's adequacy decision on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, insofar as the respective provider is certified under it, and otherwise on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).

Based on the invitation chain, I also assign you to a community. Members of a community receive a shared community item for their Creatimon.
The legal basis is the performance of the user relationship (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); for the optional profile details, your decision to publish them. Storing your last login additionally serves my legitimate interest in looking after the platform and detecting misuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Creatimon is a community platform. Your username, profile picture, profile text, social media links and your Creatimon with its name, level, evolution stage, collected items and the events you signed up for are visible publicly, even without logging in (for example on the home page, in the leaderboard, in search and on event pages). Your email address is never publicly visible.
To provide the game, I store your Creatimon's data (name, evolution stage, level, experience points, items), your event sign-ups and notifications within the platform. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
The Maker Coin print files (SVG and 3MF) are generated entirely in your browser. No data is transmitted to me or to third parties in the process.
I only send emails that are necessary for your account, such as confirming your email address and resetting your password. They are sent via Supabase. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. There is no newsletter.
I only use cookies and storage entries that are technically necessary for features you have explicitly requested (§ 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG, German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act). No consent is required for these.

I store your account data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account yourself at any time in the settings. Your profile and game data are then deleted, unless statutory retention obligations apply. Server log files are stored only briefly and then deleted automatically.
